The package arrived on the specified date and the packaging was adequate to prevent abrasion of the cover or tearing open of portals to the nethermost hell dimensions. The journal has a sturdy cover which lends a delightful heft to it, recalling the weight of despair born upon the shoulders of damned mortals. The gaze of the carved skull on the front is sufficiently soul-crushing, and the pages are acid free. This will be perfect for notes on my vile necromantic dabblings and pastry experiments.
No doubt some purists will pooh-pooh a store-bought journal and claim that TRUE devotees of the black arts will craft their own tomes from the parched skin of their enemies. But the truth is that one can hardly expect a beginning necromancer to have a great deal of enemy skin lying about and anyway the results of such efforts are generally flimsy, smelly and highly...
