A good journal is such a tricky thing--it needs to be the right size, the right color, etc... For me, this one's perfect, the weight of the paper is nice and heavy, and the quote is lovely. I even love that each page has a floral print (in the bottom corner) so that I don't have to write quite as much to fill a page.
I bought it because of the "eco" label--I go through so many journals that it's important to me to keep my habit as green as possible--but did think it might be substandard. On the contrary! The paper takes pen beautifully and the ink never bleeds through no matter what pen I use.
It makes a great gift, too, as it has a classic, not-*too*-feminine look and the blue and browns of the cover are gorgeous in person.

I love this journal. The sugarcane paper is so nice & smooth, not lumpy like a lot of other eco-friendly paper. I love that I can have something that is so pretty & that is actually good for the environment.
