1. I have an expensive leather (well, it's inexpensive vinyl, but in the right light it looks somewhat like expensive leather) three ring business portfolio. I have three of these in it: Dark blue for travel receipts, green for business cards I receive and purple for my own cards. That's much better than having a tiny little card holder when you know you'll be getting and giving lots of cards. The colors help conceal what's inside and looks less like a school item.
2. In my office I have several three ring binders with these pouches for holding business records--more convenient than using a file folder or envelope in a file drawer. I also like that I can pick up the folder and sit in a chair to go through things, instead of standing over the file drawer trying to see the contents of a folder.

I also needed something that would hold extra school pictures and things I wanted to keep for my daughter when she got older and I did not want to misplace them. So I bought these and added them to the back of her scrapbook so she will have them when she gets older.
I also use these for school. I have my pencils and highlighters in one. I have many different uses for these very versatile envelopes. The price was very good and the product was better than expected.
