The Best Pen, January 30, 2011 By This review is from: Paper Mate Profile Retractable Ballpoint Pens, 4 Blue Ink Pens (89472) (Office Product) Papermate's Profile Pen is my absolute favorite pen. The pen doesn't blot when one starts writing, writing is smooth, and pain to the hand is not an issue. What is stunning is that the pen is relatively inexpensive and is in my opinion better than competitors that are twice as expensive. Really a terrific product with no weaknesses.

Sometimes it seems that way, as I have had a huge problems finding decent pens that don't have a fine-point. To me, fine tipped pens rarely write smoothly, and even most pens billed as "medium" are still often less than 1 mm thick. Therefore, I was thrilled when I stumbled across this "Profile" style from Paper Mate--not only was it a generous 1.4 mm wide, but also it was billed as the "World's Smoothest Pen"! Furthermore, it was available in a retractable (click) style, which I much prefer--i.e., no caps to worry about.
I have been very happy with the performance of this pen. It has lived up to its promises, writing smoothly and evenly every time. Also, although I like a thicker ink line, I don't like when the pen itself is too bulky. It was smooth writing and comfortable to hold. And is retractible. I decided I had to have this pen, so I hit Amazon.com and found them.
I got the package and passed them around the office. Now everyone is addicted to them. Great Product!!!
