Have used their 600 series exclusively since they came out. The only Rotring pen I've owned that I can truly say has held up is the fountain pen. This isn't a fountain pen review though.
Despite the problems I've had with the Rotring 600 rollerball (primarily the lacklustre factory refills), and the currently inoperable 600 multifunction pen, the fit and finish of these products was excellent. Mind you, my collection of Rotrings (past and present) have all been in the silver or lava finish. LOVE both of the finishes. The only ballpoint Rotring I owned until the Rapid Pro was the 600 multi. When it functioned, the action was smooth and their was no play whatsoever. I wish I had a regular 600 retractable ballpoint to compare to my new Rapid Pro.
I am slightly underwhelmed by the Rapid Pro. I don't know if it's the black finish I chose, or the less than hefty build, or most likely, the dry/scratchy (almost rusty) action of the... Read more
