Best pens I can find, November 9, 2005 By I'm the kind of guy who hangs on to his pen. I'm more likely to run out of ink than to lose a pen. So I don't mind spending a little bit more for a high-quality writing experience. These pens are it. I have some other high-quality "disposables". I also have a $30 Cross pen. But the Uni-Ball Vision Micro is the one I always go back to.
It writes a nice, dark, skip-free line and dries quickly enough for me (a lefty) so as to avoid smudging. It has archival ink that will not fade over time, so it is great for journaling and note-taking. It feels great in my hand.
There is not much difference between most pens. But this pen is so much better than everything else that I've actually taken the time to write this review about it. That should speak volumes. Buy this pen.

Best utilitarian ballpoint on the planet..., October 6, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: uni-ball Vision Stick Micro Point Roller Ball Pens, Black (60106) (Office Product) I am a senior in college and take notes a lot! I have been using these pens since junior high and have tried many other pens (from Bic disposables to Cross fountain pens) and these are my personal favorite. The ballpoint is very fine, and the ink will outlast the paper you write it on. As evidence to this, in 6th grade I accidently poked my hand with this pen and it left a black dot underneath the skin in my palm still visible to this day!(my first tattoo...) Since then this pen has LITERALLY become a part of me; this pen really is amazing. I love the look, feel, weight, style, and everything about it.
Some other reviewers mentioned they run out of ink quickly. True the uni-ball vision may seem to run out of ink faster than a cheapo disposable, but this is because the output of ink in this pen is much thicker and consistent than those throwaway barrel pens. For example with a Bic roundstic you can draw a line, then go over that line again and it will get darker. You could... Read more

Best pen for business, teaching, or grad school, April 21, 2011 By Sara Keeth (Dallas, TX United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: uni-ball Vision Stick Micro Point Roller Ball Pens, Black (60106) (Office Product) I have used these pens for several years, both for business and for graduate school. They are excellent for note taking, because the ink flows so quickly and smoothly that you can write at top speed without having to apply any pressure. I much prefer the micro for general writing and note taking, but I find I like the fine point for grading or copy editing.
I have used these pens for copy editing and marking on almost every possible type of paper. They will smudge a bit if you use them on a very high-gloss paper or photo (for that, grab a fine-point Sharpie), but for normal use, these are tops.
